The Mission Statement of the Foundation
The New Jersey Asian American Law Enforcement Foundation is a nonprofit 501c3 IRS recognized entity strives to promote law enforcement oriented educational opportunities for the members of the New Jersey Asian American Law Enforcement Officers Association as well as others to improve their members and others in the performance of their duties. The NJAALEF will assist law enforcement organizations and other entities to have a better understanding of the Asian culture as to provide a greater law enforcement service to the Asian population within their jurisdictions/ communities. The NJAALEF will strive to provide assistance to the public when possible with special needs such as obtaining sworn law enforcement and civilian personnel for Asian based language interpretation
The NJAALEF promotes and fosters community outreach to encourage cooperation, and understanding between the law enforcement community and the public. The foundation strives to promote or enjoin in social activities, educational forums and other interactive events between law enforcement personnel and the public as to promote good will and cooperation between law enforcement and the public. The NJAALEF will strive to provide assistance to the public when possible during a time of need such as during a state of emergency or a natural disaster. The foundation raises funds to provide the aforementioned educational and public service activities for law enforcement and the public.
